Who Created the AFA

The league was created single-handedly by the league commissioner Leander Streeter. The commissioner has been a professional graphic designer for over a decade and has a strong passion for sports and sports branding.

Why Madden 22?

At the time we first began production on the mod the most recent version of Madden that could be modded was Madden 23, however, due to the performance issues and lack of tools, we chose to use Madden 22 to simulate the league.

​Is the mod available for other Madden titles?

At the moment, no and there aren’t currently plans to create the mod for future Madden titles. This could change in the future as more modding tools come out for more recent Madden titles.

How long did the mod take to create?

The idea for the league and its team’s identities were created in 2022. In 2023 we decided to showcase the designs in Madden 22 and the mod has been in production since March of 2023.

Can I use the Mod Project file?

At the moment the raw project file will not be available to the public. This could change in the future depending on circumstances.

Can I use any of the team logos?

Any use of the assets and logos created for the AFA is strictly prohibited and violates our terms
of service.

Can I have a custom logo created from the league?

No. We will not create a logo design for you or your organization. Please contact a professional design company for those services.

​Do you accept fan made designs?

Yes, you can tag us in any creative ideas you have on any of our social media pages. We may not showcase all ideas, nor will we use any ideas in future content without the consent of the original creator. Fan made ideas that do not follow our Design Challenge guidelines will automatically
be ignored.

Will the league expand?

At the moment there are no plans to expand the league beyond 32 teams. This most likely will
not change.

Why not play franchise mode instead of Play Now for games?

Our league was created in part to experiment with some format changes that fans aren’t used to seeing from the NFL. Because of that it was determined early on in the league’s creation that each team would play a total of 18 games. There simply isn’t a way to create a franchise league in Madden 22 that would expand the number games played by each team to 18.

Who created the league schedule?

The schedule was created entirely by league commissioner Leander Streeter. The format of the schedules and number of games were to help ease the schedule making process from season to season. Using our format, we can predict the exact opponents for each team in any given year, it’s simply a matter of which week in the season each team will play.

Will you change the playoff format?

We currently use a 12-team playoff system. We prefer this method as it doesn’t allow too many teams into the playoffs while also rewarding the teams that finish atop their conference. This may change in the future to include either 14 or 16 teams.

Does the league only run from Spring through Summer?

Yes, the regular season begins in March and will continue into summer. We like the fact that our league provides football content during traditionally non-football months.  We may host special events and tournaments not during the season in the future. Following us on social media is the best way to keep an eye out for when those events occur.

Can I purchase a team’s logo for my own use?

At the moment, none of the AFA teams’ logos or brand assets are available for purchase.

​Can you make a mod for me?

No, we do not provide mod making services. Any inquiries will automatically be ignored.

​

Will any specialty uniforms be made such as ColorRush?

Yes! We will have a variety of alternative uniforms for each team. We already are working on an alternative to the NFL’s color rush uniforms as well as other themed uniforms. The goal is for each theme to include designs for all 32 teams.

Are all games available to watch for free?

At the moment no. Only the games streamed on twitch will be available. The rest of the games results are played off stream. This may change in the future through the support of the league. The goal is for all games to be streamed on twitch.

Subscribing to us on twitch and purchasing items in the shop is the best way to support the league. You can also support the league for free by following us on all social media platforms and watching us live when we stream the games.
